* Position: Dental Workplace Assessor – Part time (2 days per week)
* Salary: up to £30,000 per annum pro rata (up to £28,500 pro rata for candidates not yet CAVA qualified)

Responsibilities
* Book and carry out workplace assessments of Diploma in Dental Nursing learners within the required time period.
* Communicate effectively with practice managers and learners.
* Ensure the correct completion and submission of all assessment paperwork.
* Provide constructive feedback to the learner and practice manager in a sensitive manner.
* Prepare and support a small caseload of learners for EPA.
* Conduct health & safety and equal opportunities vetting and monitoring of practice, and provide guidance where necessary.
* Plan and prepare for each workplace assessment.
* Remain current in skills and knowledge of the dental sector and legislative requirements, maintaining GDC registration.
Qualifications
* Level 3 Training or Assessing Qualification, or willingness to acquire.
* Qualified Dental Nurse with a minimum of 2 years experience.
* Enhanced DBS Check on the Update Service, or willingness for one to be completed.
* Based in York or Hull to conduct workplace assessments.
* Ability to plan work effectively and meet deadlines.
* IT literate – effective use of MS Office.
* Experience of assessing the Dental Diploma/Advance Apprenticeship (desirable).
* Experience of working within work-based learning programmes (desirable).
