Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Pest Control Technician to join our professional team. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting, identifying, and treating pest infestations across residential and commercial properties. A valid driver's licence is essential, as travel between sites is required. The position provides comprehensive training to develop your expertise in pest management and safety procedures.
Responsibilities
* Conduct thorough inspections of premises to identify pest activity and entry points
* Develop customised treatment plans based on inspection findings
* Apply appropriate pest control methods, including chemical treatments, traps, and baiting systems
* Ensure all treatments comply with health and safety regulations and environmental standards
* Maintain accurate records of inspections, treatments, and follow-up actions
* Educate clients on pest prevention strategies and maintenance practices
* Keep all equipment clean, calibrated, and in good working order
* Follow safety protocols at all times to protect yourself, colleagues, and clients
Requirements
* Previous experience in pest control or related fields is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided
* Valid driver's licence is mandatory for travel between sites
* Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
* Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in various environments
* Physically fit with the ability to work outdoors in different weather conditions
* Commitment to health and safety standards at all times
* Willingness to undertake ongoing training and professional development in pest management techniques
