Role Overview
The Family Support Team carries out statutory safeguarding duties, and the senior social worker’s role is essential in supervising and supporting the social workers within the team to ensure that statutory duties are carried out and that children who are subject to safeguarding and CLA procedures and their families have appropriate planning and support to promote their welfare. The senior social worker also holds some complex cases and contributes to the development of the skills and knowledge of the team on a day-to-day basis.
Responsibilities
* Carry out statutory safeguarding duties.
* Supervise and support social workers within the team.
* Ensure statutory duties are carried out for children and families.
* Provide appropriate planning and support for safeguarding and CLA procedures.
* Hold complex cases.
* Develop the skills and knowledge of the team on a day-to-day basis.
Qualifications and Requirements
You will be required to provide evidence of all qualifications specified as essential.
Ability to speak Welsh is desirable.
