This Housing Association is moving into a new Target Operating Model, with a big focus on creating a single, trusted view of data across multiple systems.
As part of this transformation, they are pulling data from multiple sources onto a new Microsoft Fabric environment. The aim is to move towards a scalable, cloud-based platform that supports reporting, insight, and future AI use cases.
This is where you’ll come in. You’ll work on building new pipelines to move data across the organisation.
It’s a great role for someone who has a good understanding of Azure Data tooling, who now wants to move towards being a lead data engineer for a Fabric environment.
* Building and optimising data pipelines across the organisation.
* Integrating data from multiple sources.
* Supporting the move from an on-prem SQL data warehouse into Microsoft Fabric.
* Ensuring data is clean, validated, and trusted.
* Helping shape how data is structured and used across the business.
There’s a multi-year technology and data roadmap in place, and this role sits right at the centre of delivering it, so there’s a huge amount of impact to be made and experience to be gained.
It isn’t a keep the lights on role as there’s real transformation happening as the organisation invests in modern tooling (Fabric, MuleSoft, Azure).
You would be an excellent fit as Data Engineer if you have:
* Experience building and managing data pipelines.
* Strong understanding of data warehousing and data modelling.
* Experience moving data across systems and environments.
* Exposure to modern Microsoft tooling.
* Ability to work with stakeholders and translate requirements into solutions.
This is a hybrid role where you will need to be able to get to the office near Sunderland on a weekly basis.
The salary on offer is £50,000 with the ability to go a little higher, and some great benefits.
