Role Overview The Electrical Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing and executing electrical maintenance operations across all of NEP UK’s fleet of OB vehicles and projects. This role involves hands-on repair work, leadership in planning and resource management, and continuous improvements to ensure safety, functionality, and operational reliability. The ideal candidate combines technical expertise with strong organisational and leadership skills. Key Responsibilities General electrical maintenance: General repairs to OB units and their electrical fittings Diagnose and fix electrical problems in truck systems, including lighting, air conditioning, and power distribution Inventory and Tool Management: Maintain inventory of parts, tools, and consumables Ensure all tools are functional, calibrated, and safely stored Safety and Compliance: Enforce compliance with workplace health and safety regulations Conduct regular safety checks and risk assessments across electrical maintenance operations Coordinate the EICR testing and PAT testing of our fleet and equipment in accordance with guidance and regulations Reporting and Documentation: Keep detailed records of all maintenance work, inspections, and repairs Provide regular updates and reports to management Understand and interpret technical drawings to guide installations Staying up to date with latest electrical codes, technologies and safety practices On site support: Responding to electrical related emergencies and call outs to OB sites/locations as required Providing remote support to our delivery teams around the globe and working in conjunction with other NEP entities as required Building facilities repairs on an ad-hoc basis if required Management and Mentorship Mentoring a team of apprentices and maintenance technicians Assigning tasks to this team on a day-to-day basis Experience What we're looking for: Minimum 5 years as an electrician with a Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Electrical Installation qualification Experience in outside broadcast systems and units extremely desirable Previous people management experience preferable but not essential Valid driver’s license required Skills And Competencies Electrical diagnostics and repair OB Fleet service knowledge and repair protocols Effective communication and leadership skills Time and resource management proficiency Strong electrical safety awareness and regulatory knowledge What's in it for you? Working closely with colleagues across departments and liaising with suppliers and contractors, you'll quickly develop practical skills in Electrical Maintenance. In addition to this hands-on learning, you’ll have access to in-house training opportunities offered from time to time. These may cover a variety of topics relevant to your role. You will be expected to maintain and develop your technical and electrical knowledge and understanding. The Company will support any additional training requirements important to maintaining this knowledge and keeping in line with and ahead of advances in technology.
