Senior Project Manager – Extra Low Voltage Systems (ELVS) Package

* Package: PAYE: Competitive salary (DOE) + benefits; Self-Employed: Market-competitive day rate (TBC)
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead a major Extra Low Voltage Systems (ELVS) package within a high-profile commercial development in the City of London.
The role covers full project lifecycle responsibility including preconstruction, installation, commissioning, and handover of integrated ELVS systems such as:
* Building Management Systems (BMS)
* Energy Management Systems (EMS)
* Security Systems
* Communications & Network Systems (CNS)
* Smart Building Technologies
* Master Systems Integration (MSI)
You will lead a multidisciplinary team to ensure successful delivery on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Leadership & Team Management:
o Lead and coordinate planners, quantity surveyors, subcontractor PMs, project engineers, software engineers, and commissioning teams
o Provide clear direction, mentoring, and performance management
o Ensure effective communication across all stakeholders and workstreams
* Programme & Project Controls:
o Develop and maintain the integrated master programme
o Monitor progress, forecast delivery, and manage updates
o Chair weekly look-ahead planning meetings
o Issue early warnings and delay notices in line with contract requirements
* Commercial & Contractual Management:
o Work closely with commercial teams to manage cost, forecasts, and valuations
o Review subcontractor accounts, variations, and claims
o Ensure timely submission of all commercial deliverables and final accounts
* Risk, Quality & Compliance:
o Lead risk workshops and maintain risk registers
o Ensure full compliance with HSE and CDM regulations
o Conduct quality assurance audits and manage non-conformances
* Commissioning & Handover:
o Oversee integrated commissioning of all ELVS systems
o Manage software and systems integration testing
o Coordinate client training, O&M documentation, and project handover
o Ensure smooth close-out of all contractual obligations
Requirements
Essential:
* Proven experience delivering large-scale ELVS or complex MEP projects in London
* Strong leadership of multi-disciplinary project teams
* Solid commercial and contractual awareness
* Proficiency in planning tools (e.g. MS Project, Asta Powerproject or similar)
Desirable:
* Experience in intelligent buildings or smart building systems
* Exposure to BIM workflows or digital twin environments
* Understanding of sustainability frameworks (BREEAM, NABERS)
