Job Description:
We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Enfield to assist with the appointment of a Community Support Worker to work in a residential care setting.
We have both regular shifts (32.50 hours per week) and bank shifts available. Please note that we don't offer sponsorship, and the worker should be able to work full time without restrictions. We would need 5 years work references checked out before you start the shifts.
Rate of Pay : £14.30 - £17.60 per hour
Summary:
The Community Support Worker will provide tailored assistance to individuals within the Enfield community to promote independence, wellbeing, and inclusion.
Responsibilities:
Provide one-to-one practical and emotional support to service users within their homes and the wider community.
Develop personalised care and support plans based on individual assessments and needs.
Assist clients in accessing benefits, health services, housing support, social activities, and community resources.
Work collaboratively with families, carers, and multi-disciplinary teams to ensure effective and coordinated support.
Attend training and development sessions to ensure up-to-date knowledge of best practices, legislation, and safeguarding policies.
Qualifications:
NVQ Level 2/3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent (preferred).
Valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (desirable depending on service area).
Essentials:
Previous experience in a support or care role within the community or social care setting.
Experience supporting vulnerable adults, older people, or individuals with disabilities or mental health needs.
Knowledge of local community resources and services.
