Job Title – Maintenance Facilities Engineer
Reporting to – Maintenance Facilities Supervisor
Direct Reports – None
Purpose of Role
. Working as part of the maintenance and facilities team, ensuring that plant, equipment and facilities on site are maintained and are running correctly and safety.
. Ensure that all work carried out in a professional and safe manner and in accordance with current regulations.
Key Responsibilities
. Ensure Health & Safety is adhered and a high priority in the work areas
. Mechanical maintenance and repair of plant, equipment and facilities on site.
. Installation and replacement of equipment.
. Mechanical fault finding on plant
. Machine and plant installation, replacement and repair ranging from high value projects to smaller improvement projects.
. Perform planned, preventative maintenance tasks to the prescribed schedule
. Maintain site facilities ranging from infrastructure, communal facilities to include WC’s, drainage and groundworks.
. Perform all reasonable request made by management
Key Requirements
. Ideally City & Guilds Mechanical Maintenance or similar discipline qualified
. Time served apprenticeship or demonstrable equivalent experience.
. Mechanical experience in manufacturing machines, involving hydraulics and pneumatics, fault finding and repair.
. Proven welding and fabrication experience.
. Some electrical experince and knowledge.
. Positive, problem-solving attitude and willing to learn new skills.
. Be able to contribute to and work within a small team, whilst still able to work on own initiative.
. To be flexible with working hours to support planned repairs and unplanned breakdowns
. You may be required on occasion to perform Ad hoc responsibilities to support business needs
. Resourceful and able adapt to changing priorities and maintain a positive attitude and possess a strong work ethic
Desirable
. Experince and knowledge of lean engineering principles and techniques
. Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment, preferably aerospace or automotive, particularly hot, and cold forming presses.
. Experience working with and supervising external contractors
