Job Description

We’re looking for a Head of Property Management who is client-facing and able to lead our property management team based from our hub in Gloucester and other hubs in the Midlands and Southwest. This is a senior management position focused on “leading from the front,” guiding a team of property professionals to deliver high-quality services and build strong client relationships across a diverse portfolio including commercial and residential properties. Work Pattern

This is a full-time hybrid working, permanent role. Our hub is based in Gloucester (GL2 4NF) You would need to be able to come into our Gloucester hub regularly to be a visible leader of the Commercial property management team.

About the role

You’ll be a senior contact, taking full ownership of client relationships, ensuring high-quality service delivery, statutory compliance, and commercial performance across these portfolios. You’ll be working closely with our Partner and Head of Commercial and have a key role in driving the growth and success of the property management division. The role combines technical property management expertise with leadership, commercial awareness and business development, supporting the continued growth and reputation of Bruton Knowles.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll be responsible for but not limited to:-

Portfolio & Property Management. This includes preparing and overseeing service charge budgets and reconciliations and ensuring all landlord obligations are met through effective coordination with our Facilities and Property Management team.

Client Relationships & Commercial Oversight. Be the primary point of contact for clients, building strong, long-term relationships based on trust and performance. You will manage key lease events such as rent reviews and renewals, while also supporting Management Company administration and ensuring clients receive a proactive, high-quality service.

Compliance, Risk & Insurance. Maintaining full statutory compliance across the portfolio and ensuring appropriate buildings insurance is in place. This includes overseeing insurance procurement in line with RICS Designated Professional Body (DPB) requirements. You will also ensure the timely collection of rent, service charges, insurance premiums, and other recoverable costs in collaboration with our Client Accounting team.

Leadership & Collaboration. Working closely with Facilities Management and Property Management teams to deliver seamless, integrated solutions for clients, while contributing to a collaborative and high-performing team culture. Undertaking performance reviews.

Business Development & Profile Raising. Identifying opportunities to grow the portfolio and cross-sell additional services, helping to strengthen client relationships and enhance the wider business offering at Bruton Knowles.

Qualifications & Experience

* MRICS qualified essential
* Proven experience and a strong track record in commercial property management
* Strong leadership skills and experience of managing teams
* Exemplary client management skills and experience
* Full driving licence and access to a car
* Be proactive and receptive to change and uphold the highest level of professionalism at all times.

Interview Process

An initial 10-15 minutes confidential call about the role with the recruiter Naomi Corcoran. Followed by a 2-stage interview process including a presentation and psychometric assessment.
