An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a TB Clinical Support Worker to join the team and assist in our objective to improve patient safety and the patient experience through the continued improvement in the quality of our services.
Along with NVQ 2 in a care‑related subject, the successful applicant will have experience in an acute healthcare setting with the ability to work and communicate effectively within a multidisciplinary team setting.
The post holder will work within the Respiratory team at The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital and at The Princess Royal Hospital, Telford.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be working under the guidance and direction of the TB specialist nursing team. The post holder will receive training to undertake a wide variety of clinical and administration tasks.
* Supporting CNS with TB clinics
* Speaking with patients about treatment compliance
* Answering and triaging patient telephone messages
* Reviewing/validation of TB service database
* Working across site
* Telephone reviews with patients
* Ordering consumables as required
The post holder will work under the direction of the lead TB Clinical Nurse Specialist.
