Estimator
Location: Bedfordshire
Salary: £50,000 – £90,000 (dependent on experience) + package
We are working with a well-established, privately owned civil engineering contractor with a turnover exceeding £100m and a strong track record of sustained growth. The business has built a reputation as a market leader within residential infrastructure, delivering large-scale schemes for major UK housebuilders.
With a strong pipeline of secured work and continued expansion, they are now looking to appoint an Estimator to join their pre-construction team in Bedfordshire.

Key Responsibilities
• Preparing detailed cost estimates for civil engineering and groundworks projects
• Reviewing drawings, specifications, and tender documentation
• Producing accurate take-offs and pricing schedules
• Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations
• Identifying risks, opportunities, and value engineering options
• Supporting bid submissions and pre-construction activities
• Working closely with commercial and operational teams
Requirements
• Experience as an Estimator within civil engineering or groundworks
• Strong understanding of pricing, tendering, and pre-construction processes
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Strong analytical and numerical skills
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities
