In this role you will be responsible for ensuring our banking journals are completed accurately and in a timely manner, reconciling the bank, and resolving any banking queries.It is a critical role, you will be in a central finance function coordinating with various finance teams internally in Cruise and cross divisionally with other finance teams.A great opportunity for candidates looking to work closely with treasury. Gaining exposure to banking controls, compliance and reporting. While also being able to support the wider accounts receivable and finance team with ad hoc tasks and enquiries, including ownership of several reconciliations.*You will be required to visit the Folkestone office in Sandgate 3 times a week with 2 days working from home* Role ResponsibilityWorking in our Accounts Receivable team, your key responsibilities will be to; Follow our Business Code of Conduct and always acting with integrity and due diligence.Uploading statements to the general ledger system and reconciling the bank.Liaise directly with internal finance teams, treasury, and cross divisional finance teams, to ensure visibility and precision.Report FX, currency accounts, and internal movements precisely and promptly.Monitoring card payments and resolving any discrepancies to have minimal impact on our customer’s journey .Approval of any refunds raised to our customers to ensure compliance.Managing cheque payments and refund runs for compliance and accuracy. Supporting ad-hoc queries and other members of the team as required, including holiday cover.Supporting other requests, such as preparing financial due diligence checks for potential suppliers.Assist with implementing process improvement and proactively progressing/coordinating any actions.The Ideal CandidateSuitable candidates will already have been exposed to accounts receivable function and be keen to develop their finance career within a large customer facing business such as Saga.Ideally you will have some prior experience of working in a finance function, and you will be keen to explore a career in the finance industry with a veiw to studying AAT, ACCA or CIMA.You will need to demonstrate the following skills and experience;Historical experience of finance journals.Proficient with MS Office applications.Strong communication skills are essential, being one of the primary points of contact within the central function of the finance team for Cruise, other divisions, & treasury.Accuracy and the ability to self-review is key.Strong organisational skills, with being able to prioritise tasks and manage expectations to internal departments.Flexible and able to manage multiple work streams and to cope under pressure in a fast-paced environment.Identify training needs to resolve gaps in knowledge and skills.Package DescriptionEveryday our colleagues deliver exceptional experiences to our customers.
