The Events Marketing Officer Role
The Events Marketing Account Officer plays a pivotal role within the college’s marketing team, contributing to the institution’s strategic goals. The role is responsible for the planning, co-ordination and delivery of a diverse portfolio of events aimed at recruitment, outreach and visibility, ensuring these events align with objectives and enhance the college’s reputation with key market segments.
The Marketing Department’s primary focus is to attract new students and provide specialist marketing support to teams across the College to visualize and create a consistent, innovative and highly regarded brand and customer experience.
Key Responsibilities Of The Events Marketing Officer
* Planning, organising and delivering a calendar of recruitment events, including Open Days, Apprenticeships Unlocked and Taster Weeks.
* Ensuring all identified objectives, deadlines and budget limitations are met, stock and catering requirements are fulfilled and opportunities for development are exploited, ensuring continuous improvement of events.
* Developing detailed project plans for events, including timelines, resource allocation and risk management strategies.
* Creating, implementing, maintaining and managing a cross-college event organization system, ensuring appropriateness for all types of college events and ensuring training provided to all colleagues who will use the system.
* Liaising with college staff, external suppliers, exhibitors and employers; providing detailed event plans as required and managing the payment process as needed.
* Managing the risk assessment process for all college marketing events, ensuring all health and safety processes and policies are followed.
* Co-ordinating the printing and delivery of marketing material, including leaflets, banners and prospectuses, required for all events.
* Identifying items for promotional merchandise, overseeing the process from selection to delivery.
About You
* Level 2 (or equivalent) English and Maths
* Degree or equivalent in a subject relevant to marketing, the media, communications, public relations or journalism or willing to work towards
* Experience in a similar role or within a similar environment
* Competent in Microsoft Office applications
* Meticulous attention to detail
* Flexible, diplomatic and assertive when required, self-motivated
