Senior Engineer / Design Manager (Structural Steel)

Responsibilities
* Act as the Technical Director / Design Manager reporting directly to the Board, responsible for all technical aspects of projects including producing steelwork designs using the latest technology / design software.
* Provide outstanding technical expertise, support the team with strong leadership skills and train / encourage other team members.
* Apply value / cost engineering in both design and fabrication, share experiences and develop new ideas with others.
Person Specification
* A degree qualified Chartered Structural Engineer is preferred.
* Substantial experience in the structural steel industry with a bias towards portal frames.
* 5-10 years experience working in a similar role is essential.
