Personal Tax Senior
Salary: £36,000 - £45,000 + Benefits
A well-established and growing accountancy practice is seeking an experienced Personal Tax Senior to join its tax team. The firm provides accountancy, audit, tax, and business advisory services to a diverse portfolio of privately owned businesses and individuals across the North of England.
The Role
The successful candidate will manage a varied portfolio of personal tax clients, ensuring high-quality compliance services while supporting tax planning opportunities and providing guidance to junior team members.
Key Responsibilities
· Manage a portfolio of personal tax clients as the main point of contact
· Prepare, review, and submit self-assessment tax returns
· Review financial information to ensure accurate tax reporting
· Identify tax planning opportunities and assist with advisory work, including remuneration planning, business structuring, and exit strategies
· Build and maintain strong client relationships, responding to queries and providing proactive support
· Support and mentor junior staff members
· Attend occasional meetings with prospective and existing clients
· Undertake ad-hoc tax and client-related assignments as required
Requirements
· Previous experience in a Personal Tax role within an accountancy practice
· Strong technical knowledge of personal tax compliance
· Ability to manage workloads effectively and meet deadlines
· Excellent communication and client relationship skills
· CTA qualification desirable but not essential
Desirable Experience
· Knowledge of taxation within GP practices
· Experience preparing partnership and partners' tax returns
· Familiarity with PCSE administration, including estimates and Type 1 & Type 2 certificates

· Salary of £36,000 - £45,000 depending on experience
