About The Role

* You will assess up to four to six customers per day.
* Assessments will be conducted on paper, telephone, video, or face-to-face.
* You will take clinical observations, ask questions, and create written reports.
* Reports will be passed to the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP), who will decide on support for the customer.
* You will assess benefits such as Personal Independent Payments or Employment and Support Allowance managed by DWP.
Training & Development
Customers will present with various clinical issues; comprehensive industry-leading training will be provided by our client's expert clinical tutors. The training will equip you with the skills to support customers and transfer your existing medical knowledge to this role.
Full training lasts approximately 6 months and is paid. This role will help you maintain your registration with the RGN or HCPC, with support for revalidation. After training, you'll have ongoing CPD, with over 100 hours protected per year, support with revalidation, and career development opportunities within the organization. You will be assigned a clinical supervisor and can pursue the Diploma in Disability Assessment Medicine accredited by the FOM.
Your Requirements
Applicants should be nurses, OTs, paramedics, or physiotherapists primarily working in inpatient roles with a broad range of clinical conditions. A minimum of 1 year of experience is required. Computer and IT skills are advantageous, including the ability to type at 30 words per minute. The ideal candidate will be highly literate, detail-oriented, and possess adaptable communication skills suitable for working with diverse client groups.
