About the Role:
SAAF Education are currently seeking passionate and reliable SEN Teaching Assistants to work in a variety of primary and secondary schools across the Brent area .
This role is perfect for individuals who are looking for day-to-day supply work, with the opportunity to transition into longer-term placements, depending on school needs and your availability.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with a range of special educational needs (e.g. ASD, ADHD, SEMH, MLD, SLD)
Assist the class teacher with managing behaviour and adapting learning materials
Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment
Help pupils develop socially, emotionally and academically
Follow individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour support strategies
Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and other support staff
Requirements:
Experience working with children or young people with SEN (in a school or similar setting)
A patient, caring, and flexible approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)
Right to work in the UK
