Overview

We are looking to appoint a Group BC & IT Risk Manager to continue the strong foundations already in place within this important area of the business. This role oversees the Group’s business continuity framework and IT risk management processes, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and compliance requirements. It offers the opportunity to build on existing frameworks while contributing to the continuous improvement of operational resilience and risk governance. The ideal candidate will bring proven expertise in both BC and IT risk management, with a proactive and collaborative approach to driving oversight across the Group.

Responsibilities

* Continuously review, update, and implement the Group’s Business Continuity (BC) Policy to meet evolving organisational needs.
* Lead Business Impact Analyses (BIAs) for central operations, including investment-related processes, and update Business Continuity Plans based on findings.
* Plan and oversee annual business continuity testing, ensuring the effectiveness of recovery strategies.
* Provide second-line oversight and guidance to Group entities to ensure compliance with BC processes.
* Maintain and enhance the IT risk management framework and support the IT Operations team in aligning processes with industry standards such as ITIL.
* Conduct annual IT risk assessments, implement mitigation plans, and escalate significant risks to senior management.
* Collaborate with IT teams to maintain effective Disaster Recovery (DR) plans, conduct regular DR tests, and ensure Recovery Time Objectives (RTOs) are met.
* Manage third-party risk by assessing critical suppliers’ IT recovery, continuity plans, and compliance with contractual obligations.
* Conduct regular reviews of supplier controls, focusing on resilience, recoverability, and alignment with the Group’s risk frameworks.
* Provide regular updates on business continuity and IT risk posture to senior management, ensuring timely escalation of critical issues.


About You

* Proven experience within business continuity planning and IT risk management.
* Demonstrated experience in conducting risk assessments and developing mitigation strategies.
* Educated to degree level in Information Technology, Risk Management, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
* Professional certification or knowledge/understanding of one or more of: CRISC, CBCP, ISO 22301, ITIL, or other relevant risk management and business continuity credentials.
* Strong understanding of IT operations, IT infrastructure, cloud environments, risk assessment methodologies, and disaster recovery best practices.
* Excellent problem-solving, organisational, and coordination skills.
* Self-motivated, highly proactive, with an ability to lead on the end-to-end delivery of risk management and business continuity initiatives.
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to communicate risk concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
