Allen Lane are delighted to be supporting the London Borough of Newham in their search for experienced IT Service Desk Analysts on a permanent basis. These roles are key to providing first and second line support to the borough’s employees, delivering a high level of technical expertise and customer service at every stage to ensure the organisations’ IT services run smoothly. Please note that candidates will be required to work on-site five days per week.
As an IT Service Desk Analyst, you will:
* Provide effective support for all aspects of computing to users across the council, resolving issues and service request in line with SLA’s
* Register incidents, making an initial diagnosis and advise on solutions prior to escalating.
* Take ownership of issues and be accountable for the satisfactory resolution.
* Uphold the security of information and systems by encouraging adherence to IT Policies.
* Apply & maintain security controls and procedures as required.
* Act as the routine point of contact, receiving and handling all support requests.
As an IT Service Desk Analyst, you must have:
* Previous experience in providing first & second line support
* Excellent communication and customer service skills
* A passion for technology, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex software issues
* Demonstrable working knowledge of Windows 10/11 and the full M365 suite including:
* Intune, OneDrive, MS AOVPN, Exchange, Teams, SharePoint and Entra ID.
* Candidates with working knowledge of SCCM would be of particular interest
