We are seeking a junior Planning Solicitor (NQ-3 years’ PQE) to join a leading global law firm’s highly-regarded Planning practice in Manchester.
The Team:
The team is looking for a talented Associate to support them in consenting on some of the UK’s largest and most impactful development, energy, and infrastructure projects. This role provides a fantastic platform for those looking to take on meaningful planning work with excellent career development prospects.
The Role:
As a member of this dynamic team, you’ll support Partners and Senior Associates on major planning projects spanning housing, retail, data centres, logistics, and energy. Your work will involve planning application reviews, statutory agreements, planning appeals, judicial reviews, and strategy consultations. You’ll gain exposure to complex projects and work alongside professionals in Real Estate and Energy teams, giving you a holistic view of the sector.
Key Qualifications required:
1. Qualified solicitor (NQ–3 PQE) with experience in a recognised planning team
2. Interest in development planning and consenting, with a focus on regeneration and infrastructure
3. Strong written and oral communication skills, with a proactive, commercial approach
4. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
5. Strong organisational skills with a focus on meeting deadlines
