Salary: £90 - £110 per day

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist SEMH school in Birmingham, supporting pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs. The school provides a structured and nurturing environment, focusing on building positive relationships and supporting students to re‑engage with education.
The school is looking to take on a resilient Teaching Assistant on a temporary basis, with the potential to go permanent for the right candidate. The successful Teaching Assistant will be supporting students on a 1:1 and small group basis, helping to manage behaviour and promote engagement in learning.
Qualifications and Experience
* Experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs
* Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar support role
* Strong behaviour management skills
* A calm, patient and resilient approach
* Ability to build strong relationships with students and staff
* A proactive and flexible attitude
