The Role
A thriving and oversubscribed primary school in the Toxteth/Wavertree area is seeking a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a Year 4 pupil with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).
The pupil requires a high level of support for Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), with a particular focus on Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
Working closely with the class teacher, SENCo and senior leaders, you will help implement tailored strategies to support the pupil both within the classroom and in alternative learning environments across the school. On occasion, you may also be asked to provide support to other pupils with additional needs.
Strong collaboration will be essential in identifying barriers to learning, monitoring progress, and supporting the pupil’s academic, social and emotional development.
While previous experience working on a 1:1 basis with a child who has an EHCP would be advantageous, applications are welcomed from candidates with relevant experience supporting children or adults with complex needs.
