Overview
We are seeking a customer-focused Drainage Engineer to join our Utility Division, working on the Thames Water contract to deliver real and effective solutions to wastewater networks and drainage problems. Location: Iver STW, Mogden Region (Colnbrook, Berkshire). Job type: permanent, full-time. Hours: 40.25 per week, 4 days on 4 days off; early and late shifts (start times discussed at interview). Salary: £34,000 per annum (basic pay, overtime, on-call allowance and bonuses). Benefits include 21 days' holiday (including bank holidays), health cash plan, free onsite parking, auto-enrolment pension, and a friendly working environment. We operate 24/7 and you may be required to work flexible hours, weekends, and participate in an on-call rota. Full training, PPE, and use of company equipment will be provided to ensure you can operate to our high standards regardless of background or experience.
About The Role
Due to continued growth and development, we are now looking for customer-focused people to join our Utility Division, working on our Thames Water contract service to deliver real and effective solutions to wastewater network and drainage problems.
Responsibilities
* Travel to residential sites in a HGV, operating a high-pressure water jet for restoration in the West London area.
* Clean, clear and maintain drainage systems.
* Record each job report correctly on the specialist equipment provided.
* Run diagnostics and repairs on drains using electro-mechanical and specialist CCTV survey equipment.
* Rodding blockages.
* Deliver good customer service.
* Maintain good health and safety practice while carrying out works.
* Be aware of all Lanes Group policies and your responsibilities towards them.
About You
The ideal candidate will be hardworking and respectful and comply with health and safety standards. Experience in the use of high-pressure jetting equipment is useful but not essential. Other drainage qualifications (e.g., NRSWA and Confined Spaces) are an advantage.
