Complex Outreach Support Worker Location: Halifax Salary: £13.50 per hour Hours: 36 hours Rolling Rota 2 days 2 x nights Days – 8am – 4 pm Night – 10pm – 8 am 1 in 3 weekends (days) Work for an Outstanding rated CQC provider We are currently recruiting to add to add to existing team due to an increase of hours of care. The role is to support an 18-year-old young gentleman with complex care needs in his family home. O lives at home with his parents and younger sibling. O uses his eye gaze to Communicate with as he is nonverbal. O communicates using facial expressions. O will use his eyes to direct people to what he wants and uses an eye gazer, knows his own mind and is very set in his own way of what he likes and dislikes. O enjoys watching TV and DVD’s and the support worker works with him to plan and complete other activities when they’re there. O accesses the community in his mobility vehicle which his dad drives. O attends college and enjoys his time there with support staff. Role responsibilities. The Ideal candidate will have to have previous experience working within complex care or a healthcare environment and be in good general health as there is a requirement of moving and handling. You will be working closely with each client’s family and healthcare network to deliver person-centred care tailored to their unique needs.
