Job description
This nursery is seeking a fun and dynamic practitioner passionate about children and dedicated to providing the best start for their development and future. We strive to challenge children and create a nurturing environment that enhances learning and supports individual interests.
The successful candidate will provide an emotionally secure, stimulating, and safe environment tailored to the needs of individual children. They should be capable of educating and creating an enabling environment that promotes excellent learning opportunities for all children. A minimum of Level 3 NVQ/CACHE Level 3 in Childcare and 2-3 years of experience in a similar role within an established pre-school/nursery or childminding are required.
Role and Responsibilities
1. Conduct observations using an iPad for your group of up to 12 key children.
2. Develop learning through play activities in collaboration with colleagues, aligned with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
3. Review and assess the development of your key children and plan for their next learning stages in line with EYFS.
4. Support the Manager and Deputy Manager as needed.
5. Liaise with parents and carers as a key person, providing progress updates and feedback.
6. Support children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in your group.
7. Provide detailed and accurate feedback for all key children to assist in completing End of Year Reports.
8. Ensure the safety and welfare of children and colleagues by adhering to health and safety practices.
9. Stay informed about current good practices and educational developments.
10. Work as part of a team and attend relevant training courses as required.
Qualifications Required - Essential
* Level 3 NVQ/CACHE Level 3 in Childcare.
* 2-3 years of experience in a nursery setting or childminding.
* DBS check.
* First Aid certification.
* Food Hygiene certification.
Salary and Benefits
£12+ per hour. Working hours are from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm during 38 weeks per year (term time). You are entitled to 5.6 weeks' holiday annually, inclusive of bank/public holidays, calculated proportionally based on your length of service. Entitlements are pro-rata.
