* Working towards Chartered status or with significant experience (minimum 10 years)
* Leading multi-disciplinary projects to meet program, cost, and quality expectations
* Extensive highways design and construction experience, including review of design software outputs
* Commercial awareness in project delivery
* Knowledge of Local Authority design standards and contracts
* Developing and mentoring staff
* Design resource planning and programme management
* Managing Health & Safety in design and construction
* Understanding of CDM regulations
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
* Experience with NEC contracts and administration
* Knowledge of highway design standards and guidance, including Design Manual for Roads and Bridges, Manual for Streets, LTN 1/20, TSRGD, MCDHW, etc.
* Ability to compile specifications and Bills of Quantities
* Proficiency in AutoCAD; Civil 3D experience advantageous
* Full UK/EEC driving licence
