Responsibilities
* Deliver engaging lessons in English Language and Literature across Key Stages 3 and 4.
* Plan, prepare, and assess lessons that stretch and challenge students of all abilities.
* Create a supportive and stimulating classroom environment that fosters a love of reading and writing.
* Manage behaviour effectively to maintain a focused learning atmosphere.
* Provide constructive feedback to support student progress and achievement.
* Adapt teaching methods and resources to meet the needs of all learners, including those with additional needs.
* Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to curriculum planning and the wider school community.
The Successful English Teacher Will Have
* QTS with English specialism (ECTs are welcome to apply)
* Experience teaching English up to Key Stage 4 / GCSE
* Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* A genuine passion for English and inspiring young learners
