Registered Manager Children s Residential Home (2-Bed)
Location: Barnsley Salary: £45,000 £55,000 (incl. bonuses)
Contract: Full-time, Permanent Hours: 39 per week
On behalf of a respected provider of therapeutic residential childcare, we are seeking an experienced Registered Manager to lead a 2-bed children s home based in Barnsley.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and compassionate leader to take full operational responsibility for a home supporting vulnerable young people. The organisation is committed to delivering high-quality, child-centred care and offers strong professional support and development pathways.
Role Overview:
* Responsible for the day-to-day running and regulatory compliance of the home
* Lead, mentor, and supervise a team to deliver consistent, outstanding care
* Ensure effective safeguarding, care planning, and risk management practices
* Maintain high standards in line with Ofsted, Children s Homes Regulations, and internal policies
* Manage budgets, rotas, and staffing, including participation in the on-call rota
Candidate Requirements:
* Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management (or willing to work towards)
* At least 2 years experience in a leadership role within a residential childcare setting
* Strong working knowledge of safeguarding and children s social care legislation
* Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills
* Full UK driving licence and willingness to work flexibly as needed
Salary & Benefits:
* Basic salary of £45,000 with potential earnings up to £55,000 through performance-related bonuses
* £3,000 bonus for achieving an Outstanding Ofsted rating
* £200 per month bonus for full occupancy
* Additional on-call payments: £25 (weekday), £35 (weekend)
* 25 days holiday + 8 statutory days
* Mileage reimbursement (business insurance required)
