Role Summary
As a result of continued success and an ongoing programme of strategic growth, they are now seeking to recruit an experienced and self‑motivated multi‑skilled Field Service Engineer to complement their professional team and provide the highest levels of technical customer service and satisfaction in the Installation, Service, Repair and Technical Support of a range of automated laboratory equipment associated with Clinical and Industrial markets in the Hertford area and surrounding region of the UK.
Responsibilities
* Installation, Planned Preventative Service, Reactive Repair and Technical Support activities in various customer‑facing environments including hospitals and laboratories through to household name blue‑chip FMCG clients
* Managing vehicle stock inventory efficiently and within guidelines and ensuring activities are completed on time and to the highest levels of accuracy with supporting documentation completed and submitted in accordance with the engineering and service department requirements
* Attend initial in‑house training and additional training courses delivered anywhere to maintain knowledge levels and keep up to date with industry developments
* Assist with project work when required to ensure deadlines are achieved and provide customer on‑call support as part of the Service Team rota
* Comply with all relevant company policies and applicable industry regulations and legislation (including Health and Safety at Work) and ensure SSOW on site are followed
Qualifications
* Full UK driving licence
* Qualification at least ONC level or above in a relevant Electrical / Electronic Engineering discipline
* 3 or more years experience in a comparable service or maintenance environment (laboratory or medical equipment experience highly advantageous)
* Excellent communication and customer service skills at all levels
