Overview
An exciting opportunity for a part time (0.53 wte) Band 6 OT in the Trafford Home Based Treatment Team, part of GMMH NHS Foundation Trust.
The post holder will deliver holistic OT assessments and interventions to service users under Trafford HBTT, establishing levels of function, identifying and engaging in their roles and meeting their values, evaluating and reducing risk and facilitating occupational performance to support recovery and enable the individual to thrive within their community.
The post holder will have a shared role in the team and may form part of the duty rota. The post will be 75% OT specific in relation to developing the OT service within HBTT, providing assessment and intervention and formulation, and providing clinical supervision to others in the team, including support staff.
Trafford HBTT provides a service 24 hours per day, 365 days per year. The post will work a pattern of “day shifts” in line with core business hours; however, there is flexibility around working days.
We are looking for skilled and dynamic OT to join our fully integrated multidisciplinary team. The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic, committed and highly motivated team player with excellent communication skills, providing evidence-based clinical assessments and recovery-focused interventions.
Job Summary / Purpose
* To manage a defined caseload within the Home Based Treatment Team, using evidenced-based and client-centred principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions and maintain accurate records in line with clinical pathways and operational procedures.
* To have a designated caseload of service users with OT needs and provide OT assessments and interventions following clinical pathways.
* To take the lead on identifying and formulating rehabilitation needs and goals within MDT meetings.
* To participate in the duty rota operated by the team.
* To provide professional advice and consultation to other members of the MDT, junior staff and support staff.
* To regularly supervise Occupational Therapy students on placements.
* To participate in the planning, development and evaluation of the HBTT and OT Service, holding responsibility for designated projects.
* To abide by the RCOT and HCPC Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct.
