Over Supervisor – Secondary Schools | Sheffield Location: Sheffield Company: Teaching Personnel Pay: £90–£115 per day Start Date: Immediate Contract: Flexible day-to-day and long-term roles Teaching Personnel are recruiting Cover Supervisors to work across secondary schools in Sheffield. This is a great opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, or those with experience working with young people to gain classroom experience. As a Cover Supervisor, you will supervise lessons during teacher absence and ensure students remain engaged with the work set by the school. The Role You will be responsible for supervising classes, delivering pre-set lesson materials, and managing behaviour in line with school policies. You will ensure students stay on task, maintain a positive classroom environment, and provide feedback to teaching staff after lessons. No teaching qualification is required, but confidence managing groups of secondary-aged pupils is essential. The Ideal Candidate We are looking for candidates who: Hold a UK-recognised degree or relevant experience working with young people Communicate confidently with secondary school students Are reliable, organised, and professional Have an interest in education or teaching Can manage behaviour and maintain a positive classroom environment Experience in tutoring, mentoring, coaching, or youth work is desirable but not essential.
