Lead investigations into accidents, incidents, and near misses

Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety legislation

Coach, mentor, and support employees at all levels on HSEQ matters

Develop, deliver, and review audit and inspection programmes

Analyse performance data to identify trends and drive targeted improvements

Support commercial and HR teams, including occupational health, mental health initiatives, and D&A testing

Environmental

Ensure compliance with environmental policies, aspects, impacts, and best practice

Act as the subject matter expert for environmental matters across projects

Support operational teams to meet high environmental standards

Maintain Emergency and Pollution Response Plans

Contribute to environmental reporting and continuous improvement initiatives

Quality

Monitor and report on QA/QC performance

Provide guidance to improve quality outcomes

Support the maintenance and enhancement of the Integrated Management System

Ensure alignment with business objectives, ISO accreditation, and operational excellence standards

Additional Responsibilities

Provide consistent HSEQ support across all projects and functions

Maintain the Business Risk Register

Produce quarterly board reports

Conduct regular site visits to ensure standards are upheld

Identify emerging trends and develop targeted improvement campaigns

Support new project start-ups, including training, system development, and client liaison

Mentor and coach teams on behavioural safety and best practice

What You’ll Bring

Essential:

NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Safety & Health

Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Full UK Driving Licence

Desirable:

What’s on Offer

A varied role with autonomy and visibility across all projects

Supportive team environment with ongoing training and funded CPD
