Simon Acres Recruitment are delighted to be working on behalf of a highly reputable bathroom retailer in their search for an experienced Sales Consultant to join their busy showroom based in the Scottish Borders.
The Role
As a key member of the showroom team, you’ll work closely with the Showroom Manager to ensure smooth daily operations and provide a world-class customer experience—both in person and over the phone. From offering expert advice to using our in-house design system, you'll help customers find the perfect products for their needs.
Key Responsibilities

Deliver exceptional, professional customer service at all times

Maximise sales by up-selling and cross-selling to meet KPIs and targets
*
Assist customers with design and planning using our in-house software
*
Maintain a clean, organised, and visually appealing showroom
*
Manage stock deliveries and report any discrepancies
*
Handle cash and card payments with accuracy and confidentiality
*
Contribute to promotions, displays, and store events
*
Support store security and operations in the absence of management
*
Take part in regular training and morning briefings
*
Follow company procedures and health & safety policies
What We’re Looking For
*
Previous retail or showroom sales experience preferred
*
Confident communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
*
Proven ability to hit sales targets and build rapport with customers
*
Strong attention to detail with a positive, can-do attitude
*
Basic computer skills (design software experience a bonus!)
*
Flexible and reliable, able to cover team absences when needed
*
Enthusiastic, presentable, and passionate about home improvement
