121 Teaching Assistant - Mansfield
Location: Mansfield, Nottinghamshire
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Full-time, long-term
Salary: £88.98-£115 per day (dependent on experience and qualifications)
About the Role:
Are you a patient, caring, and resilient Teaching Assistant looking to make a real impact? We are working with a welcoming primary school in Mansfield seeking a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a pupil with additional needs in EYFS.
You will play a key role in helping this child access learning, regulate emotions, and thrive in the classroom environment. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about inclusion and SEN support.
Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 support to a pupil with additional needs (SEND/SEMH)
Assist in delivering tailored interventions and differentiated tasks
Help manage behaviour and support emotional regulation
Liaise with the class teacher and SENCO to monitor progress
Promote independence, confidence, and engagement in learning
Requirements:
Previous experience supporting children (ideally in a 1:1 or SEN role)
Calm, nurturing approach with excellent communication skills
Ability to build trust and strong relationships with pupils
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply)
Relevant TA qualification or child-based experience is desirable
