We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Specialist Cleaning Operative to join our team. Reporting directly to the Supervisor and Chargehand, the successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of window and specialist cleaning services. This includes tasks such as window cleaning, specialist internal and external cleaning (including working at height), and property and garden clearances. The operative will ensure that all services are delivered and maintained to the highest standards, monitoring compliance with customer satisfaction and operational targets while promoting best practices in health and safety.
The Specialist Cleaning Operative will be expected to deliver high-quality service to all customers, communicate effectively with clients while performing tasks, and ensure deadlines are met. Any issues or concerns must be escalated to the Team Leader as required. The role involves the correct use of equipment and tools, including inspections in line with PUWER regulations, and the investigation and utilization of new technology and equipment. Compliance with health and safety regulations and training is essential, as is the completion and submission of necessary paperwork.
Candidates must possess a full driving license, and it is desirable to have experience with water-fed telescopic window cleaning poles, water purifying systems, and traditional window cleaning methods. Additional training and certifications such as IPAF, PASMA, harness training, working at height, step and ladders training, manual handling, BICSc training, use of buffer and carpet machinery, and IOSH Working Safely are desirable. Previous experience in clinical and specialist cleaning is also advantageous.
The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator, able to understand verbal and written instructions, and work effectively as part of a team. Attention to detail, dependability, and good timekeeping and attendance are essential qualities. Flexibility is also required to meet the demands of the role.
