Designer Recruitment are seeking an experienced Buyer / Stock Controllerto join a leading plumbing and heating merchant based in Surrey. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established and growing business that prides itself on its service, quality, and long-standing customer relationships. This role is paying up to £36,000 per annum for the right candidate. The Role: Managing stock control processes, ensuring accurate levels and availability of key products. Sourcing, purchasing, and negotiating with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and reliable supply. Monitoring sales trends to forecast demand and maintain efficient inventory levels. Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and internal teams. Supporting day-to-day operations to ensure a smooth supply chain process. The Candidate: Previous experience as a Buyer, Stock Controller, or Purchasing Assistant within theplumbing, heating, or wider merchant sector. Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills. Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail. A proactive, hands-on approach and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
