Job Purpose
The Marketing Manager will lead and execute the Colleges marketing and digital strategy to strengthen brand presence, support student recruitment, and advance commercial objectives. This role oversees digital marketing, website management, campaign performance, and content creation across multiple platforms.
You will also manage a small team and collaborate with internal stakeholders and external agencies to deliver impact, multi-channel marketing campaigns.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing Strategy & Planning
* Develop and implement integrated marketing strategies aligned with institutional and recruitment goals.
* Plan, execute, and optimise digital and offline campaigns to achieve performance targets.
* Conduct market and competitor analysis to inform strategic decisions.
Digital Marketing & Website Management
* Lead the development and delivery of the Colleges digital marketing strategy.
* Manage website content, SEO/SEM activities, and user journey optimisation.
* Oversee Google Analytics implementation, reporting, and tracking.
* Monitor and interpret key digital metrics including ROI, CTR, conversion rates, and lead quality.
Campaign Management
* Own the full marketing campaign lifecycle: planning, creation, delivery, and analysis.
* Develop dashboards and reports to support data-driven decision-making.
* Maximise CRM (HubSpot) usage for segmentation, automation, and lead management.
* Ensure consistent and effective communication across all digital platforms.
Content Development & Brand Management
* Work with internal teams to create engaging written, visual, and multimedia content.
* Maintain consistency of brand identity across all marketing materials and channels.
* Develop creative collateral for online and offline use.
Agency & Stakeholder Management
* Manage relationships with external marketing agencies and suppliers.
* Collaborate effectively with internal departments to ensure alignment of marketing activity.
* Provide leadership, direction, and coaching to a small marketing team.
Person Specification
Essential
* Minimum of 5 years experience in a marketing management role.
* Proven track record delivering multi-channel marketing campaigns.
* Strong understanding of SEO, paid media, and digital optimisation.
* Proficient in CRM systems (e.g., HubSpot) and digital tools such as Google Analytics and Google Ads.
* Demonstrated ability to analyse data and use insight to inform strategy.
* Experience in lead generation, nurturing, and conversion improvement.
* Line management experience.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
* Collaborative mindset with strong team-working capabilities.
Desirable
* Experience in Higher Education, Further Education, or a regulated environment.
* Understanding of student recruitment and education marketing.
* Experience producing multimedia content (graphics, video, social content).
