This is an exciting time to join a well-established business who are growing from strength to strength. They are now looking to appoint a Technical Manager to help them hold their seat as the market leaders in their field.
The Role
In this essential Technical role, you’ll be the go-to technical expert, with full responsibility for Quality, Food Safety and compliance. You will own and implement technical improvements and strategies for the site; maintain HACCP programs, drive reduction in non-conformances, and coordinate internal and external audits.
A key part of your role will focus on collaboration with internal teams to drive quality improvements and ensure product integrity. You will work with NPD to launch innovative new products and refine the existing portfolio to keep up with the market. You will also collaborate with process and production teams to champion the highest quality and ensure key project milestones are fully understood and reached.
The Person
This role will suit an experienced Quality or Technical Manager well-rounded experience gained within the food manufacturing industry. You'll have experience within the bakery category, with chilled food also being a massive bonus. Comprehensive understanding of food microbiology would also be highly desirable.
You must also have extensive BRC auditing experience and a successful track record of promoting best practices in food safety, hygiene and risk management. You’ll need to be an inspiring leader with experience of managing and nurturing technical teams, along with the skills to influence customers and colleagues at all business levels.
