About Our Nursery
Busy Bees Derby Heatherton, rated "Good" by Ofsted, features spacious and open-plan rooms ideal for early years development, with free-flow access to outdoor play areas and a discovery garden. Capacity 107 children. Located on Hollybrook Way in Heatherton, just a 15-minute drive from Derby City Centre. The A38 is a 2-minute drive away, and public transport options include bus routes 234 and V3 from the Nuffield Hospital stop. Free staff parking is available. Weekly activities include Spanish lessons, football sessions, and exotic animal classes. Our dedicated team includes a long-standing member since 1999, a Level 6 SENCO, and a qualified teacher to support every child’s development.

What To Expect As a Nursery Practitioner
* Create a Safe, Stimulating Environment: Prepare materials and arrange rooms to encourage children's growth and learning.
* Lead Educational Activities: Plan and deliver activities that support children's physical, emotional, intellectual, and social development, aligned with the EYFS.
* Key Person Role: Oversee children’s development and care needs, and build strong family connections.
What We’re Looking For
* Level 3 (or above) qualification in Early Years Education.
* Proven experience in working with children under 5 and a genuine interest in early childhood education.
* Skills: good communication, strong organisational abilities, and the ability to apply knowledge of child development to plan and deliver activities.
