Role Information
At our Hair & Beauty Academies, we offer practical, real-world salon training across Levels 1 to 4, with 13 academies nationwide. As a Hairdressing Tutor, you will deliver and assess courses for apprentices, adult learners, and study programme participants, empowering learners to reach their potential.
Flexibility is key, as working days and hours may vary based on course start dates and academy schedules, with contracted hours between 07:00 and 22:00, Monday to Sunday.
DUTIES
* Plan and deliver engaging, inclusive teaching sessions.
* Follow the scheme of work and EIF standards.
* Deliver theory and practical hairdressing sessions, aligned with industry and qualification standards.
* Assess learners’ work and provide feedback.
* Maintain accurate digital records of assessments, progress, and attendance.
* Embed Maths, English, digital literacy, and personal development.
* Participate in quality assurance activities.
* Create a positive learning environment and promote professional standards.
* Engage in continuous professional development.
* Support learners’ employability and progression.
* Collaborate with colleagues for curriculum improvement.
* Develop or utilize teaching resources.
* Deliver KPIs and complete reports as required.
* Promote the ethos and culture of Learning Curve Group.
* Contribute to salon commercial targets.

EXPERIENCE
Relevant industry experience as a professional hairstylist and experience in delivering assessments for apprenticeships or adult education.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
Excellent communication, learner-focused approach, highly organized, adaptable, and committed to professional development.
QUALIFICATIONS
Level 3 NVQ/Diploma in Hairdressing or equivalent, recognized teaching qualification (Level 3 Award or working towards Level 5 Diploma), Assessors Award (e.g., TAQA/A1), and GCSE C in Maths & English or equivalent.
