We're Hiring: Experienced SEND Teaching Assistant – Northallerton
Are you a compassionate and experienced SEND Teaching Assistant ready to make a lasting impact? A warm and inclusive primary school in Northallerton is seeking a dedicated TA to support a pupil with complex needs, including mobility and medical requirements.
Start Date: September 2025
Location: Northallerton, North Yorkshire
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday
What You’ll Be Doing:
* Providing 1:1 support for a pupil with complex SEND needs
* Assisting with personal care, including wheelchair transfers and PEG feeding
* Supporting learning and social development in a nurturing environment
* Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver personalised support
Ideal Candidate:
* Previous experience working with children with complex SEND needs
* Confident with personal care routines and medical support (e.g. PEG feeding)
* Patient, empathetic, and able to build strong, trusting relationships
* Relevant SEND or Teaching Assistant qualification preferred
* Team player with excellent communication and adaptability
