Overview
PepsiCo is looking for R&D Technical Stewardship Project Lead to join in Leciester, UK.
In this role you will lead the development and technical aspects of Technical Stewardship projects to actively support the Europe Foods R&D AOP. You will lead ingredient & product development for Technical Stewardship projects, including prototyping, manufacturing trials and preparing technical documentation.
These projects support Europe Foods R&D Contaminants agenda, including close partnership with Global Function, Regulatory Affairs and Supply Chain.
You will support / manage TBS projects (business continuity, Nutritional Data base, alternative suppliers, ingredients quality..) with close partnership with Global Functions, Technology Teams, Food Safety, Regulatory Affairs and Supply Chain and other key stakeholders to ensure business continuity and protecting licence to operate.
Reporting to the Europe Foods R&D Technical Stewardship Lead.
Responsibilities
1. Scope, align & deliver a portfolio of assigned Technical Stewardship projects through individual contribution & delivery through others
2. Apply & ensure team comply to Technical & Business Governance processes
3. Contribute to or lead where appropriate workstreams to improve ways of working across the team improvement of business processes to drive greater efficiencies, sharing of knowledge to create better team cohesion & developing others through coaching & embedding best practise
4. Data driven product design – Demonstrated application of consumer product testing, sensorial and analytical data to ensure excellent product launches through creation of quality technical product specifications.
5. Work effectively, efficiently and collaboratively in a highly matrixed organisation with many stakeholders by leveraging a combination of functional and business expertise to make clear technical recommendations to business partners.
Qualifications
6. Graduate in a Food Science or Engineering discipline or equivalent
7. Effective technical project management skills with ability to manage multiple projects at one time
8. Coordination and execution of factory trials to meet trial objective
9. Demonstrated understanding & application of consumer product testing, sensory & analytical methods
10. Co-ordination of 3rd party manufacturers &/or suppliers to meet business goals
11. In-depth analytical skills to interpret complex data and distil into meaningful information interpreting process data, experimental design and statistical inference
12. Ability to handle multiple initiatives and work effectively in an environment of ambiguity and change.
13. Whilst the role is day based at one location, willing to work flexible hours on occasion and travel as necessary.
14. Valid Driving license
