The Property Accounts Assistant will play a key role in supporting the accounting and finance department within the property industry. This permanent position in Chertsey offers an excellent opportunity to work in a hybrid setting with a competitive salary.

Description
* Prepare and manage financial records related to property transactions.
* Assist with client account reconciliations and ensure accuracy in reporting.
* Process invoices and payments in a timely and efficient manner.
* Support the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reports.
* Handle queries from clients and tenants, providing clear and professional responses.
* Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts for the property portfolio.
* Maintain compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
* Collaborate with the wider accounting and finance team to streamline processes.
* Managing and maintaining service charge accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with RICS regulations
* Prepare and review service charge budgets
* Producing client statements and any additional reports required
* VAT reporting
* Collaborate with property management team to resolve accounts queries
* Liaise with external accountants on production of year end accounts where necessary
* Assisting with the company accounts
Profile
A successful Property Accounts Assistant should have:
* Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
* Experience working within the property industry or a related field.
* Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
* Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
* Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Studying towards or have completed AAT qualification
