DUTIES INCLUDE: JOB DESCRIPTION We are looking to recruit a part-time driver for our 7.5 tonne lorry with HIAB. Ideally you will be located within the Eastbourne or Crawley Area. There is the opportunity to make this a full-time position if you hold a PTS qualification or are willing to undergo the necessary training. ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS: •Full UK driving license with C1 for driving 7.5 tonne Lorry, Hiab experience/training preferable •PTS certification with labouring experience (not essential) •Looking to build career within the Railway construction industry •Operate 7.5 tonne rigid lorry when required and carry out all required driving duties/paperwork to adhere to FORS standard •Carry out tasks in a manner to achieve safe and timely completion of the works, cost effectively and in compliance with health and safety, any other associated plans, method statements and risk assessments. •Undertake works as instructed by the Supervisor, and adhere to responsibilities given. •If using hazardous or dangerous substances on site, ensure proper use as per established rules and procedures. •Ensure that you wear the Personal Protective Equipment as provided by the business and report/request new equipment where existing equipment is not longer fit for purpose •Maintain efficient site communication, primarily through communication with supervisors •Pass down company instructions, to site personnel and provide feedback to the Projects Manager as appropriate. •Implement any project specific Emergency Procedures. •Report all accidents, near misses or dangerous occurrences to the site Manager. •Encourage safety awareness by example and instruction. •Ensure that you fully understand the briefings that are provided on site and question where you feel the information provided is not clear and may effect yours and your colleagues safety. •Carry out varied Civils works under Railway infrastructure and routeworks.
