£450-£500 Weekly Pay (PAYE – No Umbrella Company)
New Directions are currently recruiting for an SEND TA to support a student in Lower Key Stage 2 with SEMH needs. This role would be perfect for someone who is confident supporting leaners who may display some challenging behaviours at times. The role will also involve some general support within the Year 3 classroom and has potential to carry on into the new Academic Year.

The Role:
4. Supports emotional and behavioural needs: Works with pupils who have social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs, helping them regulate emotions, manage behaviour, and feel safe in school.
5. Provides targeted 1:1 or small-group support: Delivers tailored interventions, builds trusting relationships, and adapts activities to help pupils engage with learning.
6. Collaborates with staff and families: Works closely with teachers, SENCOs, and parents/carers to monitor progress, share strategies, and support each child’s overall wellbeing.
The Candidate:
7. Holding a Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) is desirable but not essential.
8. Experience working with children in a classroom setting is preferred; however, we also welcome applications from individuals with backgrounds in care, support work, sports coaching, or psychology.
