We are partnering with an ambitious and evolving organisation in the Scottish Borders that is investing in its people, systems and future growth. This is an outstanding opportunity for a proactive Finance Business Partner / Management Accountant to join a visible and highly respected finance team in a role offering breadth, progression and real impact.
This is far more than a reporting role. You will be at the heart of operational and commercial decision making, working closely with senior leaders across site, operations and commercial teams to improve profitability, efficiency and accountability.
The Opportunity
You will play a key role in delivering insightful management information, challenging assumptions, supporting strategic decisions and helping the business continue its improvement journey.
Key responsibilities will include:
Preparing weekly and monthly performance packs with meaningful analysis and commentary
Supporting budgeting, forecasting and longer term planning cycles
Partnering with operational leaders to improve site performance and margins
Reviewing KPIs, trends, variances and opportunities for improvement
Supporting pricing decisions, cost control and investment appraisals
Managing month end processes, reconciliations and controls
Driving stock accuracy, forecasting and cash flow visibility
Playing an active role in continuous improvement projects across the site
Supporting statutory accounts and audit processes
Acting as a trusted finance voice within the leadership team
About You
We are keen to speak with ambitious individuals who enjoy pace, ownership and making things happen.
You may be:
CIMA / ACCA qualified
MAAT qualified and actively studying further
Already operating in a Finance Business Partner or Management Accountant role
Looking to step into a broader and more commercially focused opportunity
You will likely bring:
Strong Excel and systems capability
Excellent communication skills with confidence to challenge positively
A continuous improvement mindset
