Responsibilities as a SEND Tutor:
As a SEND Tutor, you will provide tailored educational and developmental support to learners in Middlesbrough, working in environments such as homes, libraries, learning hubs or alternative provisions.

Deliver 1:1, nurture-led tutoring as a SEND Tutor, supporting learners with additional needs

Plan and adapt engaging sessions aligned to individual learning and care plans

Build positive, trusting relationships that support emotional wellbeing and progress

Monitor development and communicate effectively with families and professionals
Requirements as a SEND Tutor:
To succeed as a SEND Tutor, you will ideally bring experience supporting children or young adults with additional needs in Middlesbrough or similar settings.

Experience supporting children or young people with SEND within education or care settings

Understanding of the UK curriculum with the ability to adapt learning flexibly

A patient, empathetic and reliable approach with strong communication skills
