Job Title: General Operative New Build Industrial Project
Location: Essex
Working Hours: 58 hours per week 2-4 week initial contract
Start Date: Monday 16th June
Rate of Pay: PAYE Direct - £15.00 inc holiday pay per hour Monday to Saturday
Job Overview:
We are currently seeking a reliable and hard-working General Operatives to support the successful delivery of a new build industrial project. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining site cleanliness, assisting tradespeople, and supporting general site operations to ensure the project runs safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
* General site clean-up, including removal of waste, sweeping, and tidying work areas
* Assisting with the movement and organisation of materials and equipment around the site
* Supporting skilled tradespeople as required (e.g., holding materials, fetching tools)
* Ensuring walkways and work zones are clear and hazard-free
* Helping with basic manual tasks such as lifting, carrying, and loading/unloading deliveries
* Following all health and safety procedures on site
* Reporting any issues or hazards to the Site Manager or Supervisor
Requirements:
* Previous experience on construction sites preferred
* CSCS card (valid and in date)
* Strong work ethic and positive attitude
* Physically fit and able to undertake manual tasks
* Ability to work well in a team and follow instructions
* Punctual and reliable
