Job Description
* Develop and implement robust commercial strategies to drive business growth.
* Identify new market opportunities and drive market penetration.
* Manage key customer relationships and participate in closing strategic business deals.
* Attend relevant trade shows that can require international travel
* Collaborate with internal teams to ensure client needs are met and exceeded.
* Monitor performance of commercial activities, reporting directly to senior management.
* Stay up-to-date with industry trends and competitor activity.
* Lead and manage the sales team to achieve agreed targets.
* Ensure adherence to company policies, legal guidelines and in-house procedures.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Commercial Manager should have:
* Proven experience in a commercial role within the Shipping/Logistics industry.
* Outstanding sales skills with a knack for negotiation and networking.
* A strategic mindset, with the ability to make sound business decisions.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
* The ability to work in their Southampton office a couple of times a week
