The Role
As a Tank/Asset Integrity Inspector with Applus+, you will play a key role in ensuring the ongoing safety and compliance of a variety of assets. You will inspect GRP, HDPE, stainless steel, carbon steel, and bolted tanks, as well as pressure vessels, assessing their condition in line with relevant legislation, industry codes, and client procedures to determine continued service.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct daily inspections of assets across water utility sites in Yorkshire (with a focus on South Yorkshire where possible)
* Manage your own workload effectively to meet contractual inspection targets
* Work closely with the client to identify and report hazards
* Produce accurate, high-quality reports on asset condition
* Collaborate as part of a close-knit inspection team
Qualifications & Certifications
* EEMUA 159, API 653, or API 510 certification (essential)
* NVQ or EngTech registration (advantageous)
* Previous categorisation in line with RG0 or RG2
* Full, valid driving licence
Experience
* Minimum of 5 years’ inspection experience
* Utility sector (especially water) experience is desirable but not essential
Skills & Attributes
* Strong problem-solving skills
* Ability to work independently and within a team
* Self-motivated with a strong focus on meeting targets
* Sound knowledge of legislation and adherence to procedures
* Keen eye for defect detection with clear, concise reporting
* Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email systems
